MAC 2025 - 2026 Basketball Program

Welcome to the Moanalua Athletic Club (MAC) Basketball program! The MAC Basketball program is primarily for youth residing in the Moanalua area (Fort Shafter to Red Hill and mauka of the freeway), and/or attending Moanalua Elementary, Moanalua Middle or Moanalua High (9th grade only) Schools.

Although we decided not to offer basketball this season due to the physical limitations of the Coordinator for the Moanalua Athletic Club sports program, making him no longer available.

We have reconsidered because of the request by two of last year’s coaches and their willingness to coach a team. We decided to offer the activity for other age groups with hopes that parents/or volunteers would step up and offer to coach a team.

However, if a team does not have a head coach, they will not be entered.

Program Information

The 2025-26 season will run tentatively from December 15, 2025 - March 7, 2026 MAC Basketball divisions and age groups are as follows: Age is determined by the age of the child on January 1, 2026.

We need Team Moms, Coaches & Assistant Coaches!!! j

  • Teams will be formed if we have a minimum of 2 coaches and 10 players.
  • We have commitment from coaches for the Mustang and Pony team.
  • Coaches’ child or children are given priority for placement and Fees will be waived/discounted.
  • Team assignments and practices start after 12/15/2025
  • Child will be officially placed on a team after his/her registration form and payment is received.

Practices are held at Moanalua Community Park Courts and Moanalua Elementary School courts (pending MES approval)

Priority for selection are as follows:

  1. Head coaches child(ren)
  2. Players living in the Moanalua Elementary district (proof of residency required which needs to be a utility bill addressed to legal guardian of player)
  3. Players who have obtained a Geographic Exception to Moanalua Elementary or Middle School (player’s school schedule acceptable)
  4. All other players
  5. Players who are requesting specific days of practice and are not a head coaches’ child

Sign-up Process

The MAC 2025-2026 Basketball sign-up period is from December 8 through December 14, 2025.

Sign-up is ONLINE ONLY.

NOTE: After signing up on the website, your child will be placed on a wait list. Players will be assigned to a team after registration form and fee is received.

To clarify how to get your child on a team:

  1. Sign up online between December 8 through December 14
  2. The MAC coordinator will email you an acknowledgement with a PAL registration form attachment.
  3. Mail your completed registration form AND payment to the address provided in the email by the stated deadline.
  4. We must receive your registration form and payment by December 17, 2025.
  5. Once your registration form and payment have been processed your child will be placed on a team
    • You may be required to show proof of birth date
    • You may be required to show proof of residency or geographic exception
    • ABSOLUTELY NO LATE REGISTRATIONS
    • RETURNS ON UNIFORMS WILL NOT ACCEPTED

Notification and Payment

If your child is selected, the registration form and your payment must be made by check or money order made payable to MAC for $30. This fee primarily covers the cost of the uniforms & equipment. Registration and payment must be sent and postmarked by Wednesday, December 17, 2025, or your child will be taken off the list.

Check Policy

For recordkeeping purposes, we prefer a personal check from a local bank.

Checks returned unpaid by your bank will be returned to you by the program coordinator. Your check will not be re-deposited. Within one week of notification, you must plan with the coordinator or your child’s coach, to pay the registration fee plus $20.00 (bank charges) by either: 1) cash or 2) another check. Should your second check be returned, all future payments (regardless of activity) must be made in cash. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please check with the program coordinator.
